For the past 5 Octobers, my fishing buddie and I have made a trip to the White. And we have dined at the 178 Club each trip. I don't know which is my favorite part of the trip, the world class fishing, or the world class dining! I've had a different entree' each time, and have never been disappointed. You have a great staff and excellent food, which has always been perfectly prepared. See you in October!

We had driving around Mountain Home Arkansas a little and then checked out the dining guide in the Holiday Express guidebook. We called several restaurants, only to discover that they were not open on Sunday evenings. The 178 Club restaurant would be open until 9 p.m., and so we headed out. It was about 20 miles from our hotel, and we arrived around 7 p.m., a little late for dinner, but well before closing time. We were seated in the dining area and there were only a few other guests in the dining room. We ordered a hot chocolate with a shot of Kahlua to warm up with. Our server said she could make it with her special recipe and we told her to go for it. It was delish! We both ordered the 8-oz filet, rare with salad. I ordered the wild rice with wine sauce (sounded interesting) and Lou ordered French fries. The filet was excellent, as was the salad, with their house poppy seed dressing. Lou's salad had a honey mustard dressing and it too was excellent. I think Lou also ordered the Shrimp Cocktail, which was very good. We were too stuffed to enjoy dessert, so we rolled ourselves out of the restaurant and drove back to Mountain Home. This is one of those restaurants where the combination of excellent personable servers, hostess, etc. and good foods makes for an enjoyable dinner.

To the owner of 178 Club, I drove from Branson to go fishing with my brother on the White River. I drove down early in morning last Saturday. We fished all day and werre famished when we come off the River. We decided to come to your restaurant, because a women we had rented canoes from suggested it would be worth the trip. We arrived at your restaurant looking kind of rough and feeling very tired. We were seated quickly by an incredibly kind women who seemed dto understand our predicament. I want to thank you for that kindness. We absolutely enjoyed your food. Our server, a young lady who is originally from Springfield provided us with unrivaled service. Our spirtis were quickly revived due to this timely service and incredible food. We thoroughly enjoyed this dining experience. I want to compliment you for creating such a great dining atmosphere. Dee and entire Fox family: I intended to send you a written thank much sooner you for the wonderful food and service for the Christ-by-the-Lake Lutheran Church 30th anniversary in October. The food was delish, and everyone was so pleased. It couldn't have gone better. Also wanted to say thanks for the extra-special complimentary dessert you provided at the Dec. 8 luncheon we had for Karen and John Walsh. It was important for them to have something to do and be with friends on the day which would have been Jean's annual birthday party, and the peppermint layered dessert was the perfect ending to the luncheion. 178 Club is only one of 15 restaurants in North America that I have awarded my Sourdough Award, named after an awesome place (Sourdough Roadhouse), to which I drove 250 miles one morning in Alaska for an incredible breakfast. Sadly, the place burned down, never to be rebuilt. 178 Club remains as a restaurant to which I would drive 250 miles to enjoy the unique, resonably-priced, superb, memorable meal. What a treat: it's closer than that!!

To All 178 Club Employees, My Family just wanted to thank you again for the special attention you showed me and my family. When Dad was told he had liver cancer his spirtis were very low. He got to telling sotries about 56 years ago when my grandfather bought my Dad a lobster tail. When I called all the dinner clubs around, you're company promised to set my Dad up with a great day. Our witress was as professional as any waitress I've seen. She was so friendly and helpful. Her name was Frances. We will tell everyone about our day at the 178 Club. Hi Wade and Vickie...Amy...dad and mon=m We have been to many places here and in Springfield for buffet brunch. I was already feeling lonely for the 178's fresh Sunday Buffet Brunch. We recently tried a "special Place" (only open to the public for a short time)...I* was realllly lonely for the 178's fresh Sunday Buffet. We enjoyed the large space...there were lots of families with small children...a lot of happy chatter...and that was nice. That helped make up for the unappetizing offerings. It is a distance for us to come...but it is so delightful to have a fresh buffet foof food to choose from. Thank you,.. a Big Thank You! The food starts out okay at other places...but it is all cooked in TIME...the time it sits there getting dry and hard. No one makes a waffle like Wade. NO ONE!

I visited the club last week for the third time. I sat at the bar. Jennifer was bartending. She is an amazing bartender and person. I haven't enjoyed myself like that in a long time.
